A few practical questions.

Details that help move your selection forward.

Do Ex e and Ex i versions have the same electrical ratings?

No. BXJ8310 and BXJ5310 list separate voltage and current limits by version. Use the data for the selected protection arrangement.

Can the largest family current rating be used for every terminal layout?

No. Confirm terminal capacity, conductor size, enclosure configuration and the applicable documentation.

What should be included in a junction-box enquiry?

Provide a terminal schedule, cable-entry schedule, circuit ratings, mounting details and the required model certification.

Let’s define your requirements.

Provide voltage, current and whether the circuit is power, control or instrumentation. Include a model reference if you have one.

Already have a specification?
